Police and the ambulance service in Tasmania have been kept busy over the past few hours responding to car crashes.

Two people were taken to hospital after a single car crash near Bicheno on the state's east coast.

Another two people were taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital after the car they were in hit a pole at Bothwell in the midlands.

And one person has been taken to North West Regional Hospital after a two car smash in Don Road, Devonport.

An ambulance spokesman says none of the injuries are life threatening
